Roth era Van Halen fans missed a very memorable show if they didnt attend this one. It was originally scheduled to be presented at Deer Creek Music Center, a large outdoor venue in Noblesville, IN. Ticket sales were very poor. The show was ultimately moved to The Vogue nightclub, in Indianapolis. The show was also moved to the afternoon, because later that night was a weekly dance party called BOING Dance Alternative night. About this time, you might be asking, how far have the mighty fallen?

Never fear folks, because this show was a gem. A rare nightclub appearance in the afternoon for one of the best frontmen in show business. And it rocked. Roth delivered for the less than 800 fans who showed up. HIs band was spot on for both Van Halen classics and Roth's solo material. Of the 16 songs performed, seven were hits from the Van Halen era. Really only Just Like Paradise and the campy hits from his EP, Just A Gigilo and California Girls from his breakout solo career and a handful of tracks from his new record Your Filthy Little Mouth. For certain, it was a treasure to hear Experience performed live as well as Sunburn.

The opportunity to see any form of Led Zeppelin in 1995 was too good to be true. I had tickets to see them in Chicago when John Bonham passed away and Led Zeppelin called it quits in 1980. Fifteen years on, it was outstanding news to hear that Page & Plant would be bringing a live show to Indianapolis.

The concert was truly magnificent, complete with the Moroccan and Egyptian orchestra featured on the record No Quarter: Jimmy Page and Robert Plant Unledded. While this was a near perfect setlist, Kashmir was both powerful and moving with the cultural sounds of the Moroccan and Egyptian band behind it.

I was in New York to set up a trade show at Javitz Center. It was a lot of work with a team of people and took the better part of two or three days to complete. As a thank you, one of our company VPs bought tickets for all of us to attend The Who's Tommy on Broadway. This was held at the St James Theatre, technically just off Broadway, but next to our hotel. The seats were spectacular and the show was, well it was Tommy. You either get it or you dont and you either like or you dont. I was thrilled.

Cast featured Michael Cerveris as Tommy, who is currently with the band Budderside

There was a buzz going around that this show would feature both Ace and Peter as part of the 1995 Bad Boys tour, however that was not the case. This show was strictly Ace Frehley and his band. A tight set for the near sold out club date featuring a litany of classic KISS and Ace Frehley songs, including a medley of Insane/Trouble Walkin/Rock Soldiers/Speedin Back/Hard Times. Makin Love, a KISS song I had always associated more with Paul Stanley than Ace Frehley, was a welcome addition to the setlist.

This was a really cool experience...spend the day with KISS for $100. The event showcased all sorts of KISS memorabilia from throughout their career, including full costumes, stage props, merchandise, magazines, photos, the original painting for the cover of Love Gun and even original pages from the Marvel KISS comic book, remember? The one printed withreal KISS blood?

That wasnt enough though, KISS (Simmons, Stanley, Singer and Kulick) also did a complete set of acoustic KISS songs and held a Q&A session where fans could ask questions.

That still wasnt enough so the entire band signed autographs and took pictures with fans for hours and hours at the end of the night. No one went home sad. This was a real treat for KISS fans.

Most of the stuff on display was from the KISS warehouse and would eventually be auctioned off at Bloomfields.
