Opened in 1979

Indianapolis Tennis Center was the venue for the Indianapolis Tennis Championships tournament in Indianapolis, Indiana. Built in 1979, it reportedly held 10,000 spectators and also was the site of the tennis events for the 1987 Pan American Games. During summer months, the venue also played host to summer concerts, including Jackson Browne, Eddie Money, Grateful Dead, Stevie Ray Vaughan and many more. Demolition on the venue took place in the summer of 2010. The site is now the home of the Herron School of Art, part of the IUPUI Campus.
