BANKERS LIFE FIELDHOUSE - formerly Conseco Fieldhouse

Opened in November 1999 at a cost of $183 million and was originally called Conseco Fieldhouse. The new facility replaced Market Square Arena in Indianapolis. The fieldhouse is home to the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever basketball teams. It has also been the home of Big 10 Basketball Tournaments, the Indiana Ice and Indiana Firebirds. A best-in-league arena for basketball games, the fieldhouse is not a great venur for music events. Sound is lost in the upper sections above the suite level. In 2011, naming rights changed to Bankers Life Fieldhouse
